No Stampin' needed.

Borrowed this punch from my wonderful upliner Donna (see her blog here)  Donna has been so helpful and supportive, I'm looking forward to us getting together and combining ideas soon....watch this space!

I am so pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to use the Stampin'Up punches.  Unlike some, these go though paper and card so easily and without a lot of pressure too, and they are so easy to store as they lock flat so it's easy to stack them one on top of the other.

  • Card:  Whisper White
  • Paper:  Bashful Blue
  • Dies:  Big Shot, Circle and Leaves
  • Punch:  Owl Builder
  • Embossing folder: Perfect Polka Dots
  • Stampin'Pastels:  Were used to age the circle, applied with the Sponge Daubers
I didn't have a greeting 'just to say' so created that on the computer.  This card was assembled in only a few minutes, hope you like it.  I think you will be seeing me use this punch again very soon!

Mother's Day

I had a lovely time with my mum this year for Mother's Day.
I went down to Devon where my parents were staying with my sister and her husband.  It was a surprise and think they were pleasantly shocked!  We had a wonderful meal out on the Saturday and my sister very kindly cooked a gorgeous roast before we left on Sunday.  It was a quick turn around but lovely to see everyone.

This is the card I gave her and my husbands mum, hope you like it?
Credit to ILWS where I saw the idea.

  • Papers I used:  Mocha Morning
  • Stamp Set:  Everything Eleanor
  • Inks:  Pumpkin Pie
  • Ribbon: Whisper White Organza

Vintage Vogue....feel a little vintage myself!

Got a little carried away with this card, just couldn't make up my mind which size card I preferred!  This stamp set is so versatile and I'm really pleased that the orange and black combo works so well together.

Such a quick card but I think it looks so elegant.  I layered the F, 3 times with Stampin'Dimensional adhesive foam pads and staggered the layering of the flowers to create different heights, then added glamour dust in the centre of the flowers.
  • Card:  Whisper White
  • Stamp Set:  Vintage Vogue
  • Ink:  Basic Black
  • Ribbon:  Grosgrain, Basic Black
  • Glamour Dust

18th Celebration

Firstly HUGE apologies for my recent absence from this blog.........no excuses, just been really busy carding, schooling, gardening and pottering around with not much to show for it!  So, I'm back now with all the cards and gifts I've been busy making.

Yesterday, I went to my niece's 18th birthday party, had such a lovely time catching up with the family and meeting her friends and eating yummy Thai.....not good for that ever expanding waistline of mine!

With the sale.a.bration coming to an end this month (get those orders in soon, don't forget you only have to spend £45.00 to get a FREE product, such a good offer) thought I would use some of those lovely free papers and stamp set to create Melanie's 18th birthday card.  Really happy with the outcome, hope you like it?

  • Card: Pool Party and Whisper White
  • Designer Papers:  Everyday Enchantment (free with sale.a.bration)
  • Stamp Set:  Outline Occasions  (free with sale.a.bration)
  • Ink: Black StazOn
  • Ribbon:  Ruffled Pool Party
  • The 'Celebrate' was coloured in using the Stampin'Write Markers, which blend and match perfectly with all the papers and ribbons

Forever Young ..........I wish!

This set was one that I got in my Starter Kit.  I opted for the wooden set (you can choose between wooden and clear mounted) and have to say the quality of the stamps is superb.

Haven't had time to play with full set yet, only one out of the five stamps included, but here's my first attempt.  OOOOOOH, must just say found out when water-colouring the backgrounds you can use lids from the stamp pads and add a dash of water, then the colours blend perfectly to your stamped image.

  • Stamp Set: Forever Young, Easy Events (happy birthday)
  • Card Stock: Whisper White card, Blushing Bride and Certainly Celery
  • Liquid Pearl: Ruby Red and Petal Pink
