Windmill

I've seen lots of cards made using a windmill template and thought I'd have a go at making one myself and hadn't realised how easy it is to make.

Cut a piece of paper into any size square.  Make 4 slits in the corners two-thirds of the way in towards the middle and make a hole in the centre and another on each corner.

Then basically turn all the corners with holes towards the centre and place a brad through all the corners and then through the centre hole. VoilĂ !

I haven't created a card with one yet.....so watch this space!

Vintage Vogue

Good morning, lovely to see the sun shining for a change!

I think this has got to be one of my favourites with this stamp set so far.

I'm trying to get to grips with using the Stampin Around Handle and have to say love the finished look with it.

I demonstrated this card at my last workshop and likewise quite a few of the ladies were impressed with the wheel and ordered one with a variety of wheels. Have another workshop this evening going to try out my new wheels that have just arrive, Contemo and  Love Blossom.....keep you posted as to what they think.

    • Card Stock: Old Olive, Whisper White
    • Stamp Set: Vintage Vogue
    • Ink Pads: Old Olive, Real Red
    • Stampin'Around Handle with Love Blossoms
    • Jewels: My own
I used the dauber with this card to enhance the white frame by adding Old Olive to the edges.

Easy Events

Yet another card we made for  Samaritans to sell to raise funds.

This was  very popular and my ladies loved the fact they could chose to colour or watercolour in the tree.  I cased this idea from the front of the Stampin'Up Catalogue.
Always some great ideas if you get stuck!

    • Stamp Set: Easy Events

More Everything Eleanor

I find it so interesting how the same stamp can create so many different styles of cards.

This is another charity card we made for Samaritans   I love the way the flourish stamp has been used to create the leaves on the flower.  The flower head is so intricate and very easy to watercolour as you can see from the stamp what needs to be shaded darker.

    • Card Stock: Basic Grey, Old Olive, Rose Red, Whisper White
    • Ink Pad: Old Olive
    • Stampin'Write: Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Regal Rose, Daffodil Delight
    • Ribbon: Taken from hooks inside my jumper!

Samaritans Charity Cards

A very big thank you to my Thursday and Friday ladies for making so many beautiful cards for Samaritans.  I'm sure they will be absolutely delighted with the cards.

(Sorry Thursday ladies..... I forgot to take a photo of you!)

It's a shame I didn't take a picture of the yummy Easter nests we devoured too!

Here is one of the Stampin'Up cards we made, cased from ILWS

For the card above we used
    • Card Stock: Perfect Plum, Whisper White, Soft Suede
    • Stamp Set: Elementary Elegance
    • Stampin'Write Pens: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive
    • Dies: Small Topnote
    • Embosslits: Beautiful Wings
I also used a dauber with the Rich Razzleberry, to give the edge of the white card some definition.

Thank you for looking.

Sad to see SAB go!

My goodness what a shame that these lovely papers are no more, just as well I managed to order lots before the deadline!

I have been using the card below as the make and take for my workshops and all the ladies seem to love making this card.  Think I will now adapt it using the new freebies for April.........which is a choice of all the papers in the spring catalogue, or look below on the last blog update for more info.

Thought it would be nice to have a banner up to welcome my new ladies at my last workshop.  Just can't get enough of these papers!
