Have been mulling over for a while now whether I should purchase a trolley to transfer all my craft things when hosting parties etc........ but........couldn't believe how expensive some are........so.......I've put it off till now......when..... my wonderful DH bought one for me from Lakeland at a really good price, and I think it's actually quite trendy!
Took it into school on Monday as I had so much to take, with me making 240 carrot cookies....which coincidentally were so yummy! I was amazed at the comments, after my colleagues got over their initial hysterical laughter at me wheeling in the trolley dressed in my 1940's get up (not sure if it was me, the trolley or both they were actually laughing at!) The majority thought it a really good idea....wouldn't be at all surprised if a few more are purchased from Lakeland soon!
Here's the picture of me in my wonderful costume..... hideous I know!
Have a lovely evening.

Memory boards
Do you like the boards I made to display the cards I take along to my workshops, craft fairs etc? Had no idea they were so easy to create. Think I might have a go at making some more and trying to sell them but haven't a clue what price I could sell them at.......any ideas welcome please!
Bless my DH
Sent Mike on an errand for me this weekend to purchase a new craft table and a couple of chairs, so that I can permanently have a set up for when friends turn up for a bit of carding advice, or to use the odd stamp or two, even just to have good old natter over a cup of tea and a mountain of card.
But he surpassed even my expectations because he came home with two 6 feet tables and two 4 feet tables along with six very comfy chairs. So please ring, email, text and come along to one of my Stampin'Up classes and see for yourself the lovely layout I now have!

Simple Soft ( Hostess Gift)
Good morning everyone. Today should be quite interesting at school, we are having a World War ll Day. (post you pics later) I'm in charge of making carrot cookies with 60 seven year olds, Oh what fun!
Saw this design on ILWS and just loved the simplicity of it. So had to have a go myself. Love the fact that this set is a two step approach. You stamp basic image , then with another stamp add the detail of the petals.

Sorry Everyone!
My deepest apologies to you all if you've had loads of emails with my updates. It's just that I've had to go and change all the photos that I had already put on.............Mother's instructions, she told me they were not clear enough taken on my phone (personally think she need another eye test!)
Night night for now.
Thanks Chris
Just wanted to say a big thanks to my card-making friend Chris who gave up her Friday afternoon to come and chat Stampin'Up...amongst other things with me.
It was invaluable and I shall certainly follow up her advice on doing an open day in Tiptree and maybe one in Wickham Bishops too.
So watch this space as there will be dates for your diaries very soon.
Vintage Vogue
Good Morning and what a beautiful day it is. This is a very short blog as my DH is taking me out on a mystery bike ride .........trying to encourage me to get fit!
Thought I would show you a different variation using same stamp as in my last card class.
In my starter kit I was given a Stampin'Around Handle £3.25 and Baroque Border Wheel £6.50, pages 126 and 128 in the idea book & catalogue. Hadn't used one before so thought good chance to have a go. I have to say I was really impressed, it was so simple to use and makes a very effective background.

Friday's Card Class

Cakes cooked. Yummy, with raspberry surprise in each one.......Check! |
So lets begin!
I have a lovely group of ladies from Hatfield Peverel who come on a Friday morning. I decided to break them in gently to Stampin Up products and my theme this month for my card was decoupage... not that I followed my brief particularly well but they absolutely loved the Vintage Vogue stamp used. Not so sure they were that keen on the embroidery that was need on the cards, but those who didn't used the faux stitching instead and you wouldn't know the difference!
Two of the ladies had wanted to use them as a special card to send so we adapted the card by adding two golden hearts and using my new Silhouette Cameo, cutting machine I cut out a Happy Golden Anniversary and a 50th which they stuck where I put the just for you stamp.
- Stamps used: Vintage Vogue
- Card Stock: The main card, Natural Ivory
- Layered with Chocolate Chip, Gold wrapping paper I had, then the top layer Pearl Ivory Paper
- Ribbon: Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon
I also used Perfect Pearl for the effect inside the flowers and dusted the edges of the petals with brown chalk using the Sponge daubers.
To give dimension to the flowers I rolled the leaves around a poky tool, which made them more pliable to squish into the shape you require for your flower.
Idea again taken from ILWS site. So big thank you.
Be back later - have to get daughter up and ready for work! Poor thing has tonsillitis and feels groggy!

Sail Away Two
My goodness where has the time gone? One minute I'm looking forward to the week off school, then within the blink of an eye it's over!
Talking to everyone in school today about their activities and achievements over the week (you know the cleaning out of the cupboards, preparing the dinners for the next month, etc.) I realise I've done very little!!!!!
Well that's not strictly true......my blog is now completed, I've made 14 cards, 8 bookmarks, 6 gift card envelopes, booked 4 workshops(YIPPEE!)..........Oh dear it's all crafting!.......Think I might need to spend tomorrow redoing my to do list and adding some household jobs!
Really enjoyed the craft show on Friday. My cousin Sally, her daughter Katie (13yrs)and I all took part in a Decopatch workshop, very therapeutic. Katie was so enamoured she bought loads of mdf hearts to have a crafting party for her birthday. She's even roped me into help and become a beauty therapist for the evening..... Am sure there will be photos to follow after event!
Here's the heart I made.
Back to carding. Very excited to show you over the week some of the cards I've been making with my Stampin Up starter kit. I have to say though there are not many of my ideas on here, just ones I have seen on ILWS and adapted.....think I have been too keen to produce volumes of cards for show, when I do my workshops. So am looking forward to spending this weekend creating my ideas.
Such a simple card but think it looks so pretty. Ideal for the many men I find so hard to make cards for. Left greeting off again as haven't any Stampin Up greetings yet!
- Used Whisper White Card. A5 size
- Stamped Sail Away boat onto a tissue with the Basic Black, Classic Stampin Pad
- Then with wet paint brush carefully tear the tissue until happy with shape
- Used the Night of Navy, Grosgrain Ribbon
Cant wait to show you tomorrow what I've done with the Vintage Vogue set.
